Take care of your Cubanas
There are precautions we can take with our bags, shoes, and fashion items in general, ensuring that they remain reasonably clean, look good, and have a long useful life.
VENTILATE
Let them air out for a period before storing them; this is a good practice.
STORE
Preferably, they should be stored in the original packaging or in shoe racks.
SURFACE CLEANING
Use brushes. This helps prevent the buildup of dirt and even bacteria.
ODOR
To eliminate unpleasant odors, you can use a shoe deodorant inside the shoes.
MATERIAL
Each type of material—leather, suede, fabric, synthetic material, and plastic—requires specific care, but as a general rule, they should not be washed.
Never put them in washing or drying machines, and do not use electric dryers.
LEATHER SHOES – HOW TO CLEAN AND MAINTAIN LEATHER SHOES IN 4 STEPS
- Use a soft-bristle brush to remove dirt from your leather boots or shoes, taking care not to scratch the leather.
- Moisturize the leather thoroughly. This keeps your footwear soft and prevents the leather from cracking. Choose a colorless/neutral beeswax cream, free from chemicals and dyes. Apply the conditioner with a sponge or cloth and allow the leather to absorb it.
- Finally, gently rub your shoes with a cotton cloth or a soft sponge to achieve a polished, shiny finish.
